Think this dinosaur as a prehistoric tank

This is the ankylosaurus it lived during the cretaceous period. This dinosaur is called a prehistoric tank because if you take a look at the picture it has an armor made almost entirely out of bone and a clubbed tail made for bashing and crushing. The armor is in penetrable and the only weak spot it's his belly. The tail is used to defend himself against bigger predators such as T. Rex but if the T.Rex can flip the ankylosaurus upside down and attack its belly it would be dead.

The Omnivore

This dinosaur is another unique one.

This is the troodon its name means wounding tooth but what scientist examined from the their teeth is led to believe that this dinosaur is omnivorous.

The size of the troodon is shorter than an adult human. Judging from the skull it appears that this dinosaur is a nocturnal hunter just like lions.

This dinosaur is related to the raptors they may be small but they're highly intelligent. In America scientist build troody a robotic dinosaur that matches the troodon to study how it behaves.

You know dinosaurs may eat plants and other dinosaurs but there is something unique within them and I'm going to show you today.

This is the oviraptor and why is it unique you ask. It has a weird diet, this dinosaur ate eggs of other dinosaurs and sometimes  meat but mostly eggs and when I say eggs I mean EGGS. This dinosaur has been known to take the eggs when mama is away and doesn't leave a trace but a missing egg. This dinosaur has proven to be a thief and deserves to be caught red handed.

This dinosaur may be thief but it is also caring mother.

They have to steal eggs from this guy as well.

You know dinosaurs may be big and strong but today I'm going to show you something that will blow your  minds.

This is the compsognathus it was the first complete dinosaur skeleton and its name means beautiful jaw and it was the size of a chicken yeah and I mean CHICKEN. It is the world's smallest dinosaur, it ate small animals such as insects and small reptiles.

Comsognathus hunted in packs to take down larger prey such as crocodiles and they were very fast and agile they may be small but they're deadly. They have been known to catch fast running lizards and they can outrun predators such as T.Rex.

You know dinosaurs aren't as smart as we think but today let's try something different.

This a deinonychus unlike most dinosaurs the deinonychus is part of dromaeosauridae family which means these dinosaurs are quite smart for a dinosaur that is kind of small. Its name means terrible claw and you'll find out why on each foot the second toe is its secret weapon, this weapon  stabs deep into flesh.

It may be small but it has unique way of hunting, it attacks in groups or packs and uses traps and ambush to get prey. The size of a deinonychus was approximately the size of a full grown man. The deinonychus was an excellent jumper they usually jump on the back of their prey than slashes them with their claws.

You know I've been thinking I have too keen on predators lately so this time I'll present to you today a herbivore

This is called the triceratops it's a herbivore but it's still a fierce one those horns are their defense mechanism but most of the time it's gentle. The horns are to defend itself from predators such as T.Rex and raptors and for keeping their herd safe. Did I forget to mention that they travel in herds now the alpha males is the leader and the protector of the herd, the alpha male's job is to protect the herd from predators and lead them when there is a migration.

The size of the triceratops was about 2.5 m in length and 1 m in height. triceratops had a frill in the back of its head to protect their body. Triceratops is a fierce and gentle herbivore but it's best not to disturb their herd or else the conesequences can be painful..

 

Jurassic's unique.

This dinosaur may seem a little strange.

 This is called the allosaurus its name means new lizard it is because the skull shows that allosaurus had 2 small crests on top of its head. Nobody knows how it those crests but we'll dig for more answer to these questions. The allosaurus lived in the middle Jurassic period its size was 2m smaller than a T.rex but it was one of the top predators in the jurassic period.

The allosaurus would have ate herbivores and smaller carnivores. In mating 2 males would have fought for the female's attention also this happens in territorial defence the alpha male will to defend their territory against other groups of allosaurus.
